MADAmGASKAR – imaginary of a journey -

solo exhibition by Gio Pistone & Camilla Falsini

In this exhibition the two main rooms of the gallery were transformed in a big visual diary of imaginary images of a journey.

A mysterious and adventurous character from the beginning of the XX century, Madam Gaskar, sketched out on pieces of wood and fabric the portraits of the incredible creatures met during her incredible journey.
A travel in a Madagascar not meant like a physical place, but imaginary, where, like in reality, are living amazing creatures living nowhere else.
Hybrid creatures, whom most evident feature is the duality of their nature. Creatures born out of the union of ones coming from very different species or from very different worlds.

The exhibition will be compose by two kind of works.
Small ones: digital illustrations on different format, printed on papyr presented on a big Baobab tree painted on the gallery’s wall
Those are the portraits of the hybrid lovely animals.
Big ones: on big pieces of fabric, representing the big predators, the rough side of the otherwise heavenly imaginary Madagascar.
