Fenia Kotsopoulou
Fenia Kotsopoulou usually presents interactive performances as solo performer or in collaboration with musicians. She creates delicate dance video and her artistic research is based on the movement’s analysis, elaboration and experimental fusion with contemporary dance of the Greek’s urban traditional dances. Since January 2010 she collaborates with Cell63 artgallery with the project “Alice in Anima(L)and”, a sequel of performances inspired by the gallery’s exhibitions:
What kind of world is the Anima(L)and ?
What body tale does Alice bring from there every time?
What she is taking with her before to go back ?
The atmosphere in Cell63 is constantly changing. Every artist who passes through leaves something of himself in the space. But this space is already inhabited by a being called Alice. She comes from Anima(L)and – a land of the unforeseen and the untold. In a series of performances in Cell63, the changing exhibitions of Images, Photos, and Illustrations become for Alice an inspiration to tell an evolving body tale.
But to finish the story and be able to go on, Alice needs to find the missing element.
